MANGALORE, MAY 02: Undergraduate Students of Gladsom home along with Bishop, Priests, Parents, celebrated Gladsom Day in honor of St Juze Vaz their patron here on Monday, May 01, 2023, at Gladsom Home.
The celebration started with the Holy Eucharist presided by Rev. Msgr Maxim L. Noronha, the
Vicar general. After the mass, cultural program was organised by the students
which was presided by Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, the Bishop of
Mangalore.
A skit was performed based on the life story of St Juze Vaz, Patron of the house. It highlighted how he spread the gospel message, here in Canara. The Regent of the house Br Prinston D’souza presented the annual report of the year 2022-23. All brothers presented their talents by performing a Musical Orchestra, which was appreciated.
The Bishop presented the mementos to all the donors of Gladsom Home and addressed the gathering. “I was here as a Regent. The donors of this house were living with us. They had a great thirst for the Eucharist and that their house should be the house of prayer and today it is fulfilled. ” He said. He also Congratulated Fr Leo for training the students for better future.
The programme was organised by Rev. Fr Praveen Leo Lasrado along with Regent Br Prinston D’souza. The Sisters of Jesus and Mary convent, Diya Kiran convent, Asha Niketan convent, Ursuline Convent, Carmel convent and many priests of the Diocese were present. The parents of the students also took part in the celebration. The programm concluded with Dinner.
