Gladsom home celebrated 40 years Ruby Jubilee

July 15, 2024: Gladsom Home marked a significant milestone on July 15, 2024, as it celebrated its 40th Ruby Jubilee. The momentous occasion was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Bishop Emeritus Most Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul Dsouza, Vicar General Msgr. Maxim L Noronha, and sisters from Diya Kiran and Jesus and Mary Convent.

 

The celebration commenced with the Holy Eucharist, celebrated by Bishop Emeritus Most Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul Dsouza and co-celebrated by Vicar General Msgr. Maxim L Noronha, Fr. Rector, and Spiritual Director. In his homily, Bishop Emeritus Dr. Dsouza recalled about the humble beginnings of Gladsom Home and the miraculous interventions of Mount Carmel.

Following the mass, a small gathering was held, where Fr. Clany, the Rector, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and guests. The occasion was marked by a cake-cutting ceremony, ably compered by Bishop Emeritus Dr. Dsouza. The Vocation Promotion Brochure, specially prepared for the Ruby Jubilee, was unveiled by the dignitaries.

The Gladsom students enthralled the audience with the Ruby Jubilee song, skillfully composed by Fr. Antony George Pinto of St. Joseph’s Seminary, Jeppu. The program also featured two engaging games conducted by Br. Denson. Vicar General Msgr. Maxim L Noronha remarked, “This is indeed the luckiest batch to celebrate the Ruby Jubilee.”

Fr Harry the Spiritual Director verbalized the vote of thanks and Br Rostan Dsouza compered      the program. The program ended with sumptuous meal.Bishop Emeritus Dr. Dsouza addressed the gathering, sharing insights into the history of Gladsom Home and acknowledging the generosity of its donors. Fr. Harry, the Spiritual Director, expressed his heartfelt gratitude, and Br. Rostan Dsouza skillfully compered the program. The celebration concluded with a sumptuous meal.
