MANGALURU DEC 22: Sauhardha Christmas at Gladsom Home, Minor Seminary, was
celebrated along with students, Religious sisters and neighbourhood friends on the evening of
December 22, 2022 .
The programme was organised with a view of celebrating and sharing the Christmas message
with people residing around the vicinity of Gladsom Home.
Addressing the gathering Fr Anil Ivan Fernandes, Chief guest of the Programme said: “Although there
are many people who became famous, but their fame did not last long. But Jesus is a born Hero who is remembered even till this day.”
Adding He said “Christ is the true hero of all time. He was, He is, and will be, although, there are
many attempts to curb away the name of Jesus in this regard”.
The programme was co-ordinated by Br Prinston Dsouza, Regent Brother, along with
Seminarians under the guidance of the Fr Rector. The Sisters from Diya Kiran Community,
Jesus and Mary Convent, and the immediate neighbours were present.
Students put up a short Christmas cultural programme with Carol singing, and a meaningful skit on the theme “Christmas- a reason for peace amidst war”. Varoius games were also conducted.
Fr Praveen Leo Lasrado, The Rector, welcomed the gathering and Roydon Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks. Jostan compered the programme.
The programme ended with a fellowship meal.
