Mangalore August 4: Gladsom Home was glad to welcome 11 new Brothers who joined Gladsom Home on Sunday, August 4, 2024, for their further formation. A small prayer session was held which was presided by the Vicar General of the Diocese of Mangalore and conducted by Fr Harry, the Spiritual Director of Gladsom.
After the prayer, everyone gathered for a short welcoming program. All the 11 new comers were welcomed and we were introduced by Fr Clany, the Rector and gave a brief history of the house. Vicar General Msgr Maxim L Noronha, Fr Ashwin Aranha, the vocation promoter of Udupi Diocese, and Fr Peter Gonsalves and parents of the candidates were present.
The VG, who is also in charge of formation spoke about, Gladsom is to study and learn things, which will help us in our ministry when we meet various people. Fr Ashwin Aranha, addressed the gathering and said that prayer, studies and community life are very important during the formation and they all will grow stronger in their commitment to becoming a priest.
The Program was organized by the Rector along with other Students. Br Joel Fernandes, the regent of the house compered the program and Fr Harry Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks.
