MANGALORE, May 21: Rev. Fr Harry D’Souza took charge as the new Resident Spiritual Director of Gladsom Home for Students on the eve of May 20, 2023. The Rector, Fr Praveen Leo Lasrado along with other Students welcomed him to the house with a prayer service.
Fr Harry Dsouza took up the charge by signing the charge Register. After taking up the charge, He in his address said that “A good shepherd must walk forward leading the sheep.Fr Praveen Leo Lasrado the Rector briefly gave the history of Gladsom Home.
Fr Harry Dsouza was ordained as Priest for the Diocese of Mangalore on April 21, 2004. He has obtained his Masters in Kannada Major from Mysuru University. Fr has served in Bajpe, Puttur and worked in Gulbarga Diocese for fourteen years. He was previously the Parish Priest of Kayyar for two years.
The charge-taking ceremony was organised by Fr Rector along with Seminarians. Fr Santhosh Rodrigues from the Pastoral Centre was the Bishop’s representative for the ceremony. Fr Alfred Pinto, the PP of Rosario Cathedral and many other priests, religious sisters and Lay faithful were present.
The program concluded with evening snacks.
