MANGALORE OCT, 08: Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldana, Bishop of Mangalore visited Gladsom home Minor Seminary on Friday, October 8 to meet students personally and know the progress of their formation as well as their life in Gladsom Home.
Students welcomed the Bishop with a welcome song and a bouquet of flowers by the Rector. The prayer service was held in the chapel by Br Joel Monteiro, the regent of the house.
The Eucharistic mass was celebrated by Bishop along with the Rector Fr Anil Ivan Fernandes and Fr Francis D’souza, Spiritual director.
At his address the Bishop said, “We need to be mindful of the resources we use, equip ourselves with some of the soft skills and lead an exemplary life inspired by the Word of God and prayer”.
During this visit he also inaugurated the virtual and systemized library of the house. “ Today we have that library which we dreamt of ever since we began this academic year with the collection of around 3000 books categorized under 20 Genres ”, said Anson Titus Pinto, Student of Gladsom.
Aange-2020-21’, The vocation magazine published by Vocation Centre of Mangalore and ‘Gladzine’ an In house magazine published by Gladsom home minor seminary were released by the Bishop at the inaugural ceremony of the library.
