Mangalore, August 4, 2024 – Gladsom Home was filled with joy as it welcomed 11 new Brothers who joined the community for their further formation. The occasion was marked with a small prayer session presided by Vicar General Msgr Maxim L Noronha and conducted by Fr Harry, the Spiritual Director of Gladsom.
A short welcoming program followed, where Fr Clany, the Rector, introduced the new Brothers and shared a brief history of the house. The program was attended by esteemed guests, including Fr Ashwin Aranha, Vocation Promoter of Udupi Diocese, Fr Peter Gonsalves, and parents of the candidates.
In his address, Vicar General Msgr Maxim L Noronha emphasized the importance of studying and learning at Gladsom Home, which will aid in their ministry when interacting with diverse individuals. Fr Ashwin Aranha stressed the significance of prayer, studies, and community life during formation, which will strengthen their commitment to becoming priests.
The program was organized by the Rector and students, with Br Joel Fernandes, the regent of the house, serving as the compere. Fr Harry Dsouza proposed the vote of thanks, bringing the event to a close.
This marks an exciting new chapter for the 11 new Brothers as they embark on their formation journey at Gladsom Home. We wish them all the best as they grow in their commitment to becoming priests.
